Calling all emerging musicians! Step up and #AccelerateAction by applying to perform at an EMPOWER 2025 event!

  • We are seeking applications from emerging musicians from across the gender spectrum, who have a passion for female music. We are looking for imaginative, creative and exciting proposals of music that will enchant, impassion and inspire our audiences. As EMPOWER aims to give a platform to as many musicians and composers as possible, applications from groups of at least three people will be given priority.

    • The opportunity to perform or to have your own compositions premiered at either the prestigious Kings Place London, Whyte Recital Hall at the Royal Irish Academy of Music or the Anthony Burgess Foundation Manchester.

    • The chance to network with other like minded musicians and our panellists, who are distinguished women within the industry. Many previous performers have received other work after performing at our events!

    • If you are a female composer, EMPOWER is the perfect opportunity to premiere a new piece! We are privileged to have had over 20 new works premiered at our events.

    • A performance opportunity in a safe, non judgemental, and inclusive environment, and to become a part of a growing and supportive community.

  • EMPOWER isn’t just about the music or the events, it’s about creating a space where female music across all genres can shine, and where difficult conversations surrounding gender equality in the industry can be broached. Anyone who engages with our work is a valued member of the EMPOWER family, and we aim to nurture fresh musical voices who want to showcase female music in a new and exciting way.
